Who We Are:

Lambda Legal is a national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, the transgendered, and people with HIV or AIDS through impact litigation, education, and public policy work. Lambda Legal carries out its legal work principally through test cases selected for the likelihood of their success in establishing positive legal precedents that will affect lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, the transgendered, and people with HIV or AIDS.

Lamda Legal's Southern Regional Office in Atlanta has achieved victories advancing fair treatment for lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, the transgendered, and people with HIV or AIDS in the workforce. Our civil rights work from the SRO, not now in its third year of existence, has begun to shift the legal landscape throughout the South, where anti-gay and HIV-related discrimination is especially entrenched.
